• Webbased Timetracking, Project Management and Resource Assignment Software • Runs on Windows, Unix or Linux • Multiple Databases •
ProjectXecute is the ultimate version of Journyx Timesheet.
It offers all the functionality of Timesheet plus much more project management capabilities. On this page you will find a brief
description of the added functionality of ProjectXecute. You can find an overview of the functionality of Timesheet by clicking
on this link: Overview Timesheet Functionality
If you want to know the hard- and software requirements to be able to run ProjectXecute on your own server (Timesheet and ProjectXecute can
also be used as SaaS (Software as a Service)), then click on this link:
Hard- and Software Requirements. Timesheet and ProjectXecute
are based on the same software, you only need a different license key to unlock the ProjectXecute functionality (as of version 8.7).
If you are looking for a webbased software product that combines timesheets, project management and resource assignment, then ProjectXecute
is a good solution for you. Gathering timesheet data through timesheet, processing timesheet data (management reports, billing information),
project planning and resource assignments have never been so easy.
The main goal of ProjectXecute was not to write a replacement for MS Project (you can still use MS Project in combination with Timesheet or
ProjectXecute by using the optional module Projectlink) but to write software that is easy to use while giving you all the information you need:
In Timesheet you define projects that are shown on the users time entry screen so that they can select a project and track their time.
ProjectXecute does the
same but it also allows you to define a project planning and assign resources to the planned work.
The system allows you to subdivide your projects into subprojects or project tasks and it is also possible to use MS Project to set up your project plans (there is an
optional module called Projectlink that exchanges data between ProjectXecute and MS Project).
Work requests allow you to define pre projects (enter all relevant project data and define any sub projects or project tasks)
and check your resources availability to determine possible start and end data.
You can't actually assign resources (and employees
are unable to track time on work request) until the work request is approved and transferred to the scheduled projects pool.
One a project or a project task has been scheduled, you can start assigning employees to do the work.
You can select resources based on criteria you define (like job description, department etc.) and in one glance you can see
whether the resource is available and how it would effect his or her planning.
Project managers have the option to send a resource requisition to a resource manager when they don't have the access to assign some or all resources directly. Configuration options determine how much access a project manager has to assign resources directly versus request resource assignments from resource managers. Resource managers have the option to fulfill the requisitions by assigning their team members, or they can decline the requisitions while tracking reasons in an auditable comments log. Both project and resource managers can move a requisition into discussion mode if more communication is needed to determine the outcome.
An e-mail is automatically send to the Requestee asking for the needed resource.
Users can see their assignments screen, project and/or project tasks are displayed with the assigned amount of hours. They can see on the
week schedule how much hours need to be tracked in order to stay with the planning.
They can also see the remaining amount of hours for the task. If needed, the user
can change it. This results in a request to the project manager for the new number of hours. The project manager sees an alert in which he
is informed about the change after which he can either approve the change, reject it or allocate the additional hours to another resource.
ProjectXecute offers a Project Dashboard where you can see all the relevant information of scheduled projects. If applicable, alerts
are shown so you can take the appropriate action. This special report is fully customizable, just show the fields you need on the dashboard!
Billable Forecast Reports calculate billable hours and revenue for future months. The reports use the User Bill Rate custom field and future assignment schedules to determine approximate expected monthly billings in the future. The calculations work for both Time and Materials (T&) and Fixed Price (FP) projects.
Utilization/Chargeability Reports calculate utilization and billing rates for evaluation against target rates.
Resource Availability: Instantly the assigned amount of work per user over the desired period.
